Jeep has released two new images of a seven seat SUV it plans to launch for the Chinese market.
Named the Yuntu, that translates in Chinese to 'cloud map', the new concept is an attempt by Jeep to combine a people mover with an SUV.
Claimed to have be manufactured locally as part of a joint venture with Guangzhou and Fiat, the Yuntu is being readied for an on-sale date of early 2018.
When it arrives, it will go head-to-head with the recently launched Volkswagen Atlas and the Toyota Kluger.
Initially the production version of the Yuntu will be being a China-only vehicle but it's likely the seven-seat Jeep will be launched later on in other global markets.
More information, including what will power the larger family-friendly Jeep, will be revealed following its official unveil on April 18.
