Virtual Cockpit is central to a raft of changes for the mid-size Skoda Octavia, marking the final hurrah for the current generation, ahead of an all-new model next year.
The critically praised instrument display feature is now standard in the Aussie-spec Octavia – and the Karoq SUV has been subject to the same upgrade. In addition, the Karoq is now offered with a new paint option, 'Race Blue'.
For all models of Octavia, the electric mirrors now incorporate an anti-glare feature and power fold-in function. Exit lights (AKA puddle lamps) are now fitted as standard and all wagons now come equipped with powered tailgate.
At entry-level, the Octavia scores 'Manoeuvre Braking Assist' (reverse AEB), auto-on headlights, follow-me-home lighting and rain-sensing wipers. The mid-range Octavia Sport models are also upgraded with the standard inclusion of 'Manoeuvre Braking Assist'. At the top of the range, the Octavia RS 245 migrates from 18-inch alloy wheels to new 19-inch 'XTREME' alloys, and the liftback sedan is now complete with black rear spoiler.
Skoda has discontinued former paint option Capuccino.
Likely paving the way for next year's Octavia to move upmarket, prices for the current model have risen by a minimum of $1000, and up to $2500, as follows:
