Subaru Australia has bolstered its small SUV line-up with the addition of the new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0X.
A special-edition model that slots in between the entry-level 2.0L and second-tier 2.0R, the Subaru Crosstrek 2.0X is due in showrooms later this month, priced from $36,990 plus on-road costs.
That is $2000 upstream of the 2.0L (from $34,990) and $1500 below the 2.0R (from $38,490).
Using the 2.0L as the basis for its specification, the 2.0X adds dual-function X-Mode, gloss 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, LED fog lights, premium cloth seat trim, heated front seats, a leather-clad steering wheel and gear selector, dark grey roof rails and door under-garnishes.
Headline features on the 2.0L that carry over to the 2.0X include an 11.6-inch portrait infotainment system, wireless smartphone mirroring, six-speaker sound system, wireless charging pad, six-speaker stereo, keyless entry and push-button start.
The interior trim is ‘dark charcoal’ in colour while the exterior will be available in each of the 10 current Crosstrek paint options.
Under the bonnet is the same 115kW/196Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in the regular combustion-powered Crosstrek, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
The Crosstrek 2.0X allocation size hasn’t been announced at the time of writing, but Subaru is encouraging anyone interested in securing one to move quickly as there is “limited volume available”.
