Everyone's favourite exotic car maker, Lamborghini has teamed up with Canadian bicycle maker Cervélo Cycles to create an ultra-limited edition street bike, the Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition.
This special edition version of the high performance Cervélo R5 has been given the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ treatment. Coloured in the same orange, grey and white livery as the car which set the record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit with the time of 6:44.97 in 2018, it is also accessorised with Italian-made components.
The Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition isn’t just a collector’s show bike, it has been created to tackle the steepest uphill and downhill tracks of the Italian Dolomite Alps. Cervélo bikes are regularly used by pro cyclists and have helped many take wins in Tour de France, Iron Woman Championship and the Olympics.
Only 63 units of the Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition will be made, making this an ultra-limited edition ride indeed. The 63 is a nod to the heritage of the raging bull brand which was started in 1963.
Okay, now for the technical details for all you avid cyclists out there. This limited edition R5 street bike comes complete with a Campagnolo Super Record EPS mechanical assembly, Campagnolo Bora One wheels, Deda Elementi stem, Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres and Fizik Aliante saddle.
Just like a Lamborghini road car, this bike doesn’t come cheap. The Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition bike is on sale from $18,000 ($24,786 AUD) from official Cervélo resellers and dealers. You might want to team it with this Lamborghini branded drink bottle which matches the bike and Aventador SVJ Nürburgring paint treatment.
