Audi's new RS 5 has been spotted testing in heavy camouflage at Germany's fabled race track, the Nurburgring.
The new RS 5 spy pics reveal the coupe has two very large front air intakes, helping to funnel vast amounts of air into the engine, which rumour has it, will be a twin-turbo V6 rather than the naturally aspirated V8 found in the current generation vehicle.
The new engine is said to produce around 370 kW and will propel the RS 5 through Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system. This should equate to a 0 – 100 kph sprint time of around four seconds dead.
The RS5 will have to be very good when it's released if it hopes to compete with heavy hitters in the class segment such as BMW's M4 Competition Pack and Mercedes C63 S Coupe.
There is no official word as to when the new RS 5 will be revealed or how much it will cost in Australia. However, there are whispers that the vehicle may be released sooner than expected, based on precedent, due to customer demand.
