Honda's next generation of CR-V is set to be a game-changer for the long-standing SUV model line.
Bigger than the current model, the new CR-V is expected to offer the choice of five or seven seats, as we reported in June of last year. Additionally, there are rumours floating around that the new range will include hybrid and even plug-in variants, although there's no specific mention of diesel for this generation.
For the mainstream variants, power is expected to be supplied by a turbocharged four-cylinder.
The spy shots, taken in southern Michigan, reveal that the new CR-V's styling theme owes a lot to the current car, although the spy photographers say it also incorporates some HR-V details in its looks.
It's speculated that the new CR-V's global launch will take place around the middle of next year.
