Audi is at work on a refresh of its A6 and RS6 series but visual changes are expected to be minor.
That’s why these Automedia photos of disguised sedan and Avant wagon variants cavorting in the snow somewhere in Europe don’t reveal much more than the fact the Ingolstadt company is preparing for a European launch of the updated cars either at the end of this year or early in 2015. The big Audis' last update was in 2011.
The upgrade is rumoured to embrace the interior, and is expected to come with a number of new features including infotainment/connectivity changes.
Engines and transmissions are likely to continue as they are. In Australia that means 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrols and diesels, and V6 petrol and diesel variants for the A6, plus a fire-breathing 4.0-litre turbo V8 for the all wheel drive RS6 wagon.
If Europe is not expected to see the cars until late this year or early 2015, Australia is not likely to be on the receiving end until well into 2015.
