SPY PICS: Holden Trailblazer spotted

Reader spots Holden’s new Fortuner and Everest rival

Eagle-eyed motoring.com.au reader Jack Zayin has caught Holden’s upcoming Trailblazer in public – albeit with plenty of camo to keep the finer details under wraps.

Jack grabbed the Trailblazer outside a well-known Melbourne shopping mall.

The Trailblazer is Holden’s replacement for the Colorado7. Holden confirmed the name change earlier this year. The Colorado ute will retain its old moniker.

Due on sale locally next month (August), the MY17 Trailblazer and Colorado share the same ladder frame and diesel engine. They were developed as Chevrolets in Brazil but Aussie-bound vehicles will continue to be produced in Thailand.

Jack’s interior shot clearly shows the significant upgrade the vehicle has undergone in its evolution from LCV to heavy-duty SUV.

The new look dash features a 8.0-inch colour touch-screen which incorporates GM’s latest MyLink infotainment system including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring. Also shown are the new vehicle’s redesigned centre console, new seat trims, more soft-touch surfaces and extra equipment.

Holden is also promising a substantial step forward in ride, handling and general refinement.

On our experience with the Colorado 7 it needs to.
