Hyundai's current Santa Fe has entered its fifth year on sale in Australia, which suggests an all-new model can't be far away.
Another hint that there's a new Santa Fe in the works is this collection of spy pics featuring a pre-production car testing in Sweden.

Not a great deal is known about the new model however; rumours are circulating that a larger variant with a seating capacity of eight may be developed for the American market, but it's unlikely that variant will make it to Australia, given the current Grand Santa Fe isn't sold here.
The new model will be larger than the current car, but given increasingly stringent legislation (crash and emissions), the next Santa Fe will probably be lighter and stronger as well. And there'll be plenty of drivetrain trickery to eke more kilometres out of each drop of fuel.
Hyundai could lift the wraps off the Santa Fe at the 2018 Detroit motor show, with perhaps a European preview at Geneva a couple of months later. But if that doesn't fit with Hyundai's development time frame, maybe New York around Easter...
