Mercedes-Benz is updating its GLC SUV next year, and the emphasis there seems to be 'update', rather than 'facelift'. That's to be expected, since the GLC-Class was only introduced locally in late 2015.
The most obvious visual differences are to be found inside, where ongoing Benz functional changes include an enlarged tablet-style sat-nav screen, revised head-up displays, a new touchpad controller with haptic feedback in the centre console, and a digital instrument cluster.
Similar to other internal changes, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC's steering wheel, with new touch-pad surfaces, is likely to replicate that of the facelifted C-Class range.
And perhaps even more interesting is that the GLC is mooted to offer inline six-cylinder engine options as already seen in the latest, third-generation CLS four-door coupe.
The upgraded GLC Benz is not expected to arrive in Europe until well into 2019, which makes an Australian launch not likely until the end of the year, or early in 2020.
