Although this latest set of spy photographs doesn't tell us any more about the next-generation Honda Accord than those seen in July this year there are a couple of snaps showing a section of the instrument panel to help flesh-out the emerging picture of the new car.
Like the previous spy photos, this batch was shot in California as the test mule stopped for a coffee break. This enabled the spy snappers to zoom in on the dash panel where some detail of the HVAC controls, which look alarmingly similar to those of the current Accord, could be seen. Readers are invited to make what they will of the minuscule view of the actual instrument panel that also features among the photos.
Otherwise, the story continues unchanged: The next Accord will be based on the platform that underlies the latest Civic, from which it is expected to pick up some styling cues. Powerplant options remain a matter for pure speculation, although it would be difficult not to imagine the 2018 Accord without a version of the turbo four that now features in its smaller sibling. Speculation is firming that the current V6 is due for the chop.
And there's no reason to suspect that the new Accord won't appear locally some time towards the end of 2017.
