SPY PICS: New Merc A-Class filmed ahead of launch
Cyclist catches next-gen A-Class stripped of camouflageA Dutch website has published the first glimpse of what appears to be a pre-production Mercedes A-Class being photographed or filmed for marketing purposes.
According to Autoblog.nl, the vehicle was caught on the road in Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands, accompanied by a large support crew. Of immediate note from the video are the apparently production-ready front bumper and LED-equipped headlights.
The story accompanying the footage, taken from a furiously pedalled treadly, suggests the vehicle in question might be AMG-enhanced, based on the car's single-bar grille and the large air intakes in the front airdam. It may even be an 'A 25 AMG', given the performance arm's penchant for understated looks.
What can be seen from the video is not too far removed from Carparazzi's artist's impression from July last year, although the rendering flatters the car; the low angle of approach in the video serves only to make the A-Class look bulky and snub-nosed.
