These grainy photos, which appear to have been shot through the wrong end of the Hubble telescope, show the next generation of Nissan Dualis, due for global launch in 2014.
According to Automedia, the company whose spy photographers snapped the Dualis out in the open, the car (which is known in other markets as the Qashqai), will move up a rung on the prestige ladder from its current position. That information was handed out by Nissan executive vice president, Andy Palmer, who went on record to say the next-gen Qashqai/Dualis will be innovative in its design.
Rumours are circulating that the new model will be powered by a 1.6-litre diesel or a supercharged 1.2-litre petrol engine, and there's the prospect of a plug-in hybrid joining the range too. It's believed that the platform underpinning the new car, which will remain available in both front and four-wheel drive variants, will also provide the basis for the next X-TRAIL.
