You've already seen images of the Porsche Panamera in disguise (more here), but spy photographers extraordinaire at Carparazzi happened to bump into this particular car as it tackled grades in southern France.
The Panamera is still some way from an official release -- that having to wait for the 2009 Geneva motor show -- but more information has come to light.
Base engine for the Panamera will be a 3.5-litre Volkswagen V6 and the optional powerplant will be a direct-injection V8 of Porsche's own design. Rumour has it that the V8 will be available as a naturally aspirated unit or with twin-turbo forced induction.
Power for the engines will range from 300bhp for the V6 to 560bhp for the twin-turbo V8, with the naturally aspirated V8 hitting 350bhp, according to those in the know.
Porsche's forecast for the Panamera's first year on sale is 20,000 units.
