British SUV to score a supercharged diesel V8?Where's the money coming from? That's what we'd like to know. Tata is in the box seat to acquire Ford-owned British brands, Land Rover and Jaguar, but it's not quite a done deal yet.
From what we read, Tata is reportedly only interested in Land Rover and is seriously mulling over the development of a new factory site in India for Land Rover production there. The company is also alleged to be considering shoveling off Jaguar to another buyer altogether, once Ford's out of the picture.
So with that many balls in the air, who has shelled out for the next Range Rover Sport update? Ford we presume.
The next Rangie Sport pictured here, was caught by the shriveled spy photographers at Carparazzi, during the course of their geothermal ablutions in Sweden.
Wiping the steam from their lenses, the guys noted that the Range Rover prototype was fitted with a two-bar grille -- in lieu of the current car's three-bar unit -- and revised air intakes in the front quarter panels.
They report that this vehicle will be offered with a direct-injection 5.0-litre diesel V8, supercharged.
