Striking Lamborghini art car unveiled

Aventador Roadster the canvas of choice for Duaiv’s latest art car

Most of us are quite familiar with BMW’s stunning art cars, but a Lamborghini? Surely not.

Now, American-French musician and painter, Duaiv has taken to an Aventador Roadster LP700-4 with a vivid palette he describes as his most striking creation yet.
Dubbed ‘Project Duaiv’ the half-million dollar Lambo is the latest in a series of art cars by the colourful 62-year-old artist, who has also previously decorated a Ferrari 458 and a Ferrari FF.
Arriving in one of his own creations, a colourfully wrapped Ferrari, Duaiv approached a Miami-based Lamborghini dealership with the concept saying he wished to transpose one of his paintings onto his “ultimate dream car”.
However, rather than paint directly on to the bodywork, Duaiv took the ‘sensible’ approach of designing the artwork separately, then printing the image onto a vinyl wrap which is then applied to the vehicle via adhesive, under Duaiv’s strict supervision.
With a Novitec rear spoiler for extra visual impact, the Aventador Roadster is otherwise unaltered, and features the usual Lamborghini running gear, including that to-die-for 6.5-litre V12.
