Subaru's Luxury Edition Forester delivers extra value

Limited numbers of Subaru's Forester SUV are now offered with added equipment worth $3500

A new limited-edition model based on Subaru's popular Forester X promises $3500 worth of extra equipment.

In manual form the Forester Luxury Edition can be driven out the door of the local Subaru dealership for $32,990, which is $2000 more than the manufacturer's list price, but with the additional equipment and the on-road costs thrown in.

The added kit includes leather trim, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, front seat heating, wiper de-icing and heated mirrors. Combined with the standard car's five-star ANCAP rating and DataDot security, the new limited edition model gives Subaru a further leg up in the compact SUV segment and should keep Forester sales humming along.
