Suzuki Jimny can now be ordered in black
Long-awaited black colour option now available on Suzuki’s super-popular Jimny 4x4 wagonThe 2022 Suzuki Jimny is now available with a black exterior colour option – dubbed Bluish Black Pearl – for the first time, answering the call from many fans of the popular pint-sized 4x4 off-roader.
According to Suzuki Australia, which last week teased the new colour via its social media channels, a black paint option has been at the top of local buyers’ wish lists ever since the Jimny arrived Down Under in 2019.
The black paint complements the Jimny’s rugged and scrape-friendly plastic bumpers, wheel-arches and cladding to deliver fans the full Darth Vader experience, especially on the Jimny Lite which rolls on black steel wheels.
The announcement has garnered hundreds of social media comments both on Facebook and Instagram, most of which have been positive.
But it seems consumers are growing impatient of prolonged delivery times.
carsales has contacted Suzuki Australia for an update on Jimny supply and the subsequent wait times.
Meantime, the new finish expands the Jimny’s colour palette out to six, with Bluish Black Pearl joining Chiffon Ivory Metallic (+black roof), Brisk Blue Metallic (+black roof), Jungle Green, Medium Grey and Kinetic Yellow (+black roof).
