Suzuki has changed tack for its critically praised Kizashi sedan.
Now badged 'Kizashi Sport' for the entire range, the upgraded model offers more equipment and the flagship Sport AWD's body kit as standard for the downmarket variants as well. Base grade Touring and mid-range Prestige variants are still identified by the same labelling – with 'Sport' added to the model name, of course – but the flagship model's name is unaltered.
All three grades now ride on the Sport variant's 10mm lower suspension settings, and the Kizashi Sport Touring now boasts 18-inch wheels (up from 17-inch), fog lights and integrated Bluetooth. Pricing is $29,990 drive away, or $32,490 with the optional CVT (continuously variable transmission).
At $37,990 the Kizashi Sport Prestige gains satellite navigation and reversing camera, while the $39,990 Kizashi Sport AWD is equipped as it was before.
"Our research shows many small car buyers have considered Kizashi in the past, particularly the stylish looking Sport version," said Suzuki Australia Automobile General Manager Tony Devers, as quoted in a press release.
"With an entry level price of just $29,990 drive away, the new look Sport Touring redefines the value equation for these customers. Nothing comes close to the new look Kizashi Sport for features, space, driving dynamics and value."
Mechanically unchanged, the Kizashi Sport is already reaching Suzuki dealers and goes on sale in September.
