“Father’s Day is a time to celebrate what makes our dads awesome, and this poll shows just how much their cars reflect their personalities. Whether it’s the hands-on DIY Dad with his trusty Hilux or the adrenalin-loving Racecar Dad in a BMW M3, it’s clear that many Aussies have strong opinions on the cars that best represent their dads,” said Deb Heaphy, carsales GM - Customer Advocacy & Research.

When it comes to what dads value most in their vehicles, ‘Reliability’ (47%), ‘Performance and Handling’ (46%), and ‘Style/Design’ (34%) topped the list.

And if dads could have any car parked in their garages? The dream choices are Porsche (13%) most likely a 911, and Ford (10%) with the Mustang taking top honours.

“Dads are passionate about their cars, whether it’s for reliability on a family trip or showing off their style on a weekend drive. It’s great to see the carsales community coming together this Father’s Day to highlight what makes each Dad Car unique and special,” said Heaphy.
