Toyota Fleet Management (TFM) has released a new web app designed to make fleet vehicle management easier for customers and drivers.
It says DriverDirect, which provides unique functionality with a simple user experience, was developed primarily for TFM customers but also provides useful features for other drivers.
“One of TFM’s goals is to make fleet management as simple as possible for our fleet customers and drivers, and the DriverDirect app makes it much easier to record trips and expenses than by using traditional paper based logbooks,” said TFM General Manager Ed Stanistreet.
“DriverDirect also has some unique functionality – it uses the GPS location of a driver’s phone to show the closest Toyota dealer for any servicing requirements, as well as the nearest petrol station.”
Drivers can record their trip history manually or by GPS, and publish logbooks in Excel or PDF formats. Expenses such as fuel, insurance, maintenance, rego and tyres can easily be recorded and published using DriverDirect, and the app provides the option of adding a photograph of a receipt using the phone’s camera.
“Another great feature of DriverDirect is that it provides drivers with a reminder when their driver’s licence is approaching expiry,” said Stanistreet. “It just gives drivers one less thing to think about when getting on with their daily tasks.”
The app is available from the Apple app store and Google Play.
