Mazda Australia has overhauled its divisive CX-60 medium SUV less than two years after its local introduction and shaved up to $5560 off the asking price, despite the plethora of upgrades.
Now priced from $53,990 drive-away, the 2025 Mazda CX-60 portfolio has expanded with six new variants being added across the Pure and Touring trim levels, each offered in turbo-petrol, turbo-diesel and turbo-petrol-electric forms.
Before we delve into the individual model walk, all CX-60s score new rear springs and dampers, revised stability systems and a recalibrated eight-speed automatic transmission, not to mention front cross traffic alert, cruising and traffic support and a 360-degree camera.
As the new entry point into the CX-60 range, the Pure G40e has quite a bit of pressure on its shoulders which is why it’s being offered from $53,990 drive-away, it’s spec sheet headlined by 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, 7.0-inch driver’s display, eight-speaker sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cloth seat upholstery and dual-zone climate control.
Other features include smartphone mirroring, a leather steering wheel, sat-nav, automatic LED headlights, blind spot monitoring with vehicle exit warning, heated and auto-dimming wing mirrors, parking sensors front and rear and a 150W AC outlet.
The PHEV version ups the ante with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 1500W outlet socket.
The familiar Evolve (from $55,240) variants build on all this – where applicable with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, see-through view for the 360-degree camera, Maztex seat upholstery, driver monitoring, remote operated power tailgate and a wireless phone charger.
From there, the Touring (from $60,240) adds leather upholstery, exterior mirror memory, heated and power adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver and a rear console with LED lamp.
The GT (from $64,240) goes further with black 20-inch alloys, a flasher 12.3-inch infotainment system, adaptive LED headlights, blingy exterior trim, power steering wheel adjustment, black mirrors and grille, hands-free powered tailgate, heated steering wheel and second row, a panoramic sunroof, driver profiles, a 12-speaker Bose sound system and rear combination lights with signature illumination.
At the top of the tree, the flagship Azami (from $68,440) adds nappa leather seat trim foot lamps, a frameless interior mirror, unique front fascia treatment, two-tone wheels, leather door trim with courtesy lamp, expanded driver profile parameters and ventilated front seats.
Azami customers wanting an even more bougie experience can opt for one of two $2000 options packages.
The Takumi package adds white nappa leather upholstery, bright decoration panel, a cloth dashboard panel with Kakenui stitching and White Maple wood console and door trim inserts, whereas the SP Package is more about style with tan nappa leather upholstery, black 20-inch alloys, a darkened exterior treatment, suede-finish dashboard panel and a two-tone steering wheel.
First deliveries of the updated CX-60 will start next month with order books now open.
