Upgraded Audi A6 sedan priced for Oz
Australian specifications and $95K starting price announced for revised large luxury sedanAudi Australia has released pricing and specifications for the updated 2019 Audi A6 sedan, which will include new engine options and more tech than previous models.
The German manufacturer will begin rolling out the revised model in August, starting with the top-spec Audi A6 55 TFSI that puches out 250kW of power and 500Nm of torque.
Later in 2019, the base 45 TFSI quattro variant will be offered in entry-level and top-spec S-Line forms, both equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine capable of 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque.
Audi A6 45 TFSI cars will come standard with LED headlights, heated front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charging, navigation and Audi’s virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster.
S-Line variants add an exterior package, adaptive suspension, leather sports seat trim, a head-up display and 20-inch alloy wheels in V-spoke design.
Fitted with the smaller 2.0-litre donk, the A6 S-Line is priced from $105,200 (plus on-road costs) and from $116,000 with a 3.0-litre V6, which offers an additional 70kW of power.
For just short of $10K extra, customers can add a Premium plus package on S-Line variants which adds HD Matrix LED headlights, an interior package, tinted windows, a panoramic glass sunroof, Bang and Olufsen audio system, electrically adjustable steering column, electric boot and a colour interior lighting package – all for $9800.
The 2019 Audi A6 also promises better fuel economy with both engine options featuring mild-hybrid electric assistance via a 48-volt system for the 55 TFSI and a 12-volt system for the 45 TFSI.
All variants will also be fitted standard with Audi’s full safety suite which includes autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, front and rear parking sensors, lane assist, rear cross traffic alert, 360-degree camera and more.
The 2019 A6 will also be the first Australian vehicle to feature the new Audi connect plus infotainment system to be launched on July 31.
