The Honda Civic sedan has been upgraded for 2019 and the big news is the Honda Sensing safety suite is now standard for VTi-L and RS models.
Previously limited to the range-topping Civic VTi-LX, the safety kit includes autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam.
Also now standard in VTi-L and RS models are electrically-folding rear-view mirrors, while all MY19 Honda Civic sedans score new alloy wheel designs with specific designs for each variant.
Inside, there are fresh dashboard materials with a new, geometric pattern, new seat trims for VTi-S variants upwards, red stitching for the RS and an actual audio volume knob among other infotainment and climate control updates.
Rounding out the changes is new Phoenix Orange paint for the RS, and the availability of Platinum White pearlescent across the range.
There are no changes to the 104kW/174Nm 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine in VTi and VTI-S models, the 127kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine in other models, or the CVT automatic transmission that’s standard across the range.
