2025 Toyota Corolla Cross prices rise

Popular small SUV gets a facelift, more gear and an athletic GR Sport grade

UPDATE, 30/06/2025: The facelifted 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross small SUV will enter local showrooms next month priced from $37,440 plus on-road costs and with a new flagship in the form of the GR Sport AWD.

Six variants will be on offer across the familiar GX, GXL, Atmos and (new) GR Sport trims with prices for the carried-over nameplates increasing $960 across the board on account of the updated exterior, "increased comfort, convenience and safety technology".

Full specification details will be announced closer to the release date, but a key note is that the 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid system and continuously variable transmission has been left untouched.

ORIGINAL, 08/05/2025: The facelifted 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross has been revealed for Australia, ahead of the refreshed SUV’s arrival this year.

Due in the second half of 2025, the new pumped-up Corolla was revealed in Thailand last year and is set to bring more standard equipment along with a range of aesthetic updates, including a new integrated mesh grille, fresh alloy wheel designs, and a revised LED headlight signature for GXL and Atmos grades.

But the headline act is a new range-topping GR Sport variant, which brings more aggressive styling in the form of a unique front bumper, along with black 19-inch GR Sport alloys and GR Sport badging.

The more hard-core Corolla Cross GR Sport will be offered exclusively in all-wheel-drive form and rides on lowered coil springs with a unique shock absorber tune, as well as special electric power steering tuning.

A Sport drive mode has also been added to the hotter Corolla Cross, although powertrain details are yet to be announced.

It’s expected Toyota will continue with the hybrid-only 146kW petrol-electric powertrain currently offered in front- or all-wheel drive.

More exterior colour options have been added to the mix, including Massive Grey, Ink, Ash Slate, Shadow Platinum, and Feverish Red, while carryover hues include Glacier White and Frosted White. A handful of those colours can also be had with an optional two-tone black roof.

Pricing and further local specifications will be revealed closer to the facelifted model’s arrival later this year.
