VicRoads celebrates Ford's final GT
Commemorative number plate marks the Blue Oval's last Falcon GTA commemorative number plate celebrating the last ever Falcon GT is now available to purchase in Victoria.
On sale from today, the unique registration plate features the iconic orange GT logo, Ford's Blue Oval logo and the dates ‘1967–2014’ to mark 47 years of the Falcon GT model.
Ford Australia, which released the unique plate in conjunction with VicRoads and Custom Plates, says it's a great opportunity for Ford enthusiasts to customise the plates of their vehicles and "own their piece of Australian motoring history".
This month's new GT F sedan is the fastest – and final – model ever to appear from Ford Performance Vehicles, whose Falcon-based GT will effectively be replaced by the born-again XR8 sedan as part of Ford's facelifted FH Falcon line-up in December.
Ford says the GT F not only celebrates the FPV brand but also commemorates the Blue Oval's long history building and racing GT Fords, including the iconic Falcon 351 GT from the early 1970s.
The commemorative Ford GT plate is only available in standard size, priced at $195 with your existing number plate characters, or $495 for a new 3x3, Future General Issue, Personalised or Custom combination.
