VIDEO: Porsche teases 911 twin-turbo sound
New video shows off German sports car-maker’s 991.2 tech in action, demonstrates turbos haven’t killed off the noisePorsche has released a new video explaining some of the new tech that will be harnessed by its Carrera and Carrera S coupe and Cabriolets ahead of their official unveil at the Frankfurt motor show this Tuesday (September 15).
As well as demonstrating new tech like active air-intake flaps, it attempts to reassure those worried that turbocharging the downsized flat-six engines might ruin the aural quality of the 911.
Fast-forward to 1:43 in the YouTube video, where the sound of the all-new 3.0-litre flat turbo six can be clearly heard just above the incessant soundtrack.
