Refreshed VW ID. Buzz price and specs detailed ahead of September arrival

The News

Volkswagen has added a wedge of standard equipment to all versions of the ID. Buzz ahead of its September release, with the sporty GTX being the only subject to a price increase. Two new – Pro+ SWB and Pro+ LWB – people-mover variants are also inbound.

The Finer Details

Volkswagen Australia’s ‘MY27’ ID. Buzz range goes on sale this week with new standard and optional equipment, plus a new Pro+ trim level.

New standard features across the range include bi-directional charging capabilities (pending local testing), and new safety features including driver attention monitoring and driver alert, front cross-traffic assist, predictive speed limiter, driving experience selection and dynamic road sign display.

The infotainment system has had a pull-though too, with Volkswagen saying the updated system has a fresh interface and enhanced functionality. There’s also now an underbody stone guard and a two-tone horn.

A new mid-grade people-mover has been added to the range, called the Pro+.

Available in $84,990 short-wheelbase and $89,990 long-wheelbase, the Pro+ lobs in with 20-inch Stockton Silver alloy wheels, Park Assist with Memory feature, 30 colour ambient lighting, ‘Sequel’ cloth interior, comfort front electric seats with massage function, second-row seat heating, luggage area load platform, net partition (including storage boxes) and native sat-nav.

If that’s not enough, you can optionally specify metallic or two-tone paint, Premium Interior Style Package (Art Velours seat trim), an Infotainment Package (Harman Kardon audio and head-up display) and a panoramic sunroof with smart glass.

A new $4390 Goodnight Package (fold-out bed, window blinds, camping table and chairs) arrives for all but the Cargo.

Meanwhile, the Cargo now has optional wireless phone charging while Cargo and Pro now offer optional sat-nav. As for the MY27 GTX, it finally gets sat-nav as standard, as well as park assist with memory feature.

The updated 2026 Volkswagen ID. Buzz is available to order now and will arrive Down Under in September.
