The Lamborghini Squadra Corse motorsport division has pulled the drapes off a bespoke one-off hypercar called the SC20 that it has created to rival the McLaren Elva and Ferrari SP1/SP2 Monza.
Based on the current Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, the Squadra Corse keeps its wild 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that's combined with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission.
But, from then on, the Lamborghini SC20 is unique.
Featuring an entirely new carbon-fibre body and aggressive aero developed from Lamborghini's motorsport know-how, the SC20's front splitter and bumper are inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO racer while its gaping intakes are lifted from the recently-revealed track-only Essenza SCV12 hypercar.

Built to be used on the road and track, the SC20's rear carbon-fibre spoiler is manually adjustable to offer low, medium or high levels of downforce.
The black staggered centre-lock wheels (20-inch at the front, 21-inch at the rear), meanwhile, are unique to the SC20 and are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
Understood to be significantly lighter than the Aventador SVJ Roadster, there's no word on performance for the SC20 yet, but the lightweight feel continues in the cabin where there's lots of the featherweight composite and dashes of Alcantara padding.
With few carryover parts from the regular Lamborghini V12 coupe, the SC20 gets door handles that have been machined from solid blocks of aluminium, while the air vents are 3D-printed.

Painted in Bianco Fu white, the SC20 has subtle Blu Cepheus blue highlights, while the bonnet vent and rear wing have been left in exposed carbon-fibre.
Despite following a new trend of exposed supercars, including the recently-unwrapped Aston Martin V12 Speedster, the Squadra Corse has announced that it will make only one Lamborghini SC20 and it's already been sold for what's believed to be a large seven-figure sum.
It's not the first time Lamborghini has gas-axed the roof and windscreen off its Aventador.
Back in 2012, the famous Italian supercar-maker proudly revealed the Lamborghini Aventador J – a €2.2 million ($A3.5m) roadster exposed to the elements.

Limited to a still-blustery 300km/h, Lamborghini only made (and sold) one example.
Standing just 1100mm tall, the Aventador J was the lowest model Lamborghini had ever made, and since it lacks the SC20's towering rear spoiler, this status should still stand today.
Following on from the brutal Lamborghini SC18, Squadra Corse has now positioned itself as Lamborghini's bespoke vehicles division, capable of one-off creations tailored to the supercar marque's wealthiest customers' desires while also still handling the brand's motorsport operations.
