If you adore your Toyota C-HR or simply love a statement piece of sparkling jewellery, you’re going to love Toyota Australia’s latest collaboration with Aussie jewellery designer Millie Savage and diamond creator Heart in Diamond.
The result of which is a capsule collection of jewellery, not only inspired by the latest C-HR compact SUV – the design of which was inspired by a cut diamond – but also created as a direct result of it.
That’s because the diamonds used in each piece are lab-grown, crafted using carbon extracted from components pulled out of a pre-production C-HR, as the worlds of science and art collide.
It took around four weeks to grow each diamond, which now embellish the collection of nine rings, one necklace, one bracelet, a pair of earrings, and tooth grill.
Fittingly, each piece has an auto-inspired name, from ‘The Scenic Route Ring’, a solid 9k yellow gold with an emerald stone, to the ‘Cruise Control Ring’, another 9k gold band featuring a 0.61ct C-HR diamond.
Melbourne-based designer Millie Savage, who has attracted thousands of followers on social media, says the concept of transforming something mechanical into something organic was a major inspiration.
“I focused on the sleek lines and innovative design of the Toyota C-HR, infusing these elements into the jewellery pieces,” said Savage.
“The final products are bold yet refined, reflecting both the car’s contemporary aesthetic and my own style.”
The limited-edition pieces are now available online.
