- A true off-roader, with capabilities that match or better many of its class competitors
- Diesel delivers plenty of accelerator response yet returns competitive fuel economy figures
- Cabin offers lots of room for five adult passengers and luggage space is competitive
Cons
- Lurching, brake-activated lane keep assist is unsettling for the driver and potentially hazardous
- Interior is basic and plain to look at, even at this mid-spec level where extra gear is warranted
- Showing its age with its tech spec, while blind spot monitoring and other ADAS not available on GXL
