Stellantis Australia has confirmed 75 examples of the 2024 Abarth 695 75° Anniversario are headed to local showrooms, priced from $52,695 plus on-road costs.
Revealed last month, the limited-edition hot hatch – restricted to 1368 units globally – celebrates the car’s 1368cc engine that will be retired by the end of this year.
With the help of a Garrett turbocharger, the pint-sized four-cylinder mill throws down 132kW/250Nm via the front wheels and a five-speed manual transmission.
No automatics are being offered Down Under.
Abarth claims the swansong 695 will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds and top out at 225km/h.
That sizeable asking price equates to a hefty $14,785 premium over the regular 695 Competizione, which features the same powertrain and most of the same chassis hardware.
Beyond the exclusivity card, the extra cash nets buyers a unique black and gold livery, matching gold 17-inch wheels, privacy glass, gold exterior badging, floating 305x28mm ventilated and perforated brake discs (still clamped by Brembo callipers), black Alcantara dashboard and Abarth-embroidered black fabric seats.
The rest of the car’s standard kit list mirrors that of the Competizione; highlights include KONI adaptive dampers, a 7.0-inch TFT cluster, 7.0-inch infotainment system with DAB+ digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Beats Audio sound system and climate control.
Abarth is one of many small brands headed toward a battery-electric future, with the new-generation 500e hot hatch already on sale and the bigger 600e firming for our market.
