2024 Range Rover Sport SV teased drifting in snow

Land Rover has released its first official teaser for the incoming 2024 Range Rover Sport SV ahead of its unveiling next month (May 31).

The new high-performance SUV is a direct replacement for the outgoing Range Rover Sport SVR and is being touted as introducing a “number of innovative world-first, sector-first and Range Rover-first technology that unlock the assertive model’s full performance potential”.

Full details of the new Range Rover Sport SV will be released at launch, but we already know that the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 is being dumped for a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8.

It is not yet known just how much power the fastest SV version will offer, but it’s expected to eclipse 450kW – a healthy boost over the 390kW the same engine produces in the full-size Range Rover.

Advertising its added performance, the Sport SV will pack more aggressive styling that will incorporate larger air intakes in the front bumper and trade chrome for more menacing blacked-out trim.

Bigger wheels and a bigger braking package will also be included, while quad tailpipes also give the game away.

Inside, the Sport SV will likely feature carbon-fibre trim instead of wood, but will carry over key features such as the 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system and 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster.
