2024 Suzuki Jimny gets drive-away pricing
National drive-away pricing announced for beloved compact off-road SUV in the name of simplicitySuzuki Australia has introduced national drive-away pricing for the entirety of its 2024 Suzuki Jimny range, meaning the pint-size cult-hero off-road SUV is now priced from $34,990 with no more to pay, right around the country.
That includes Queensland and northern NSW, where Suzuki vehicles are distributed by Suzuki Auto Co – Australia’s longest-serving Suzuki importer.
The sub-$35K opening figure applies to the entry-level Jimny Lite, which was previously listed at $30,490 plus on-road statutory costs.
This largely sets the trend for the rest of the 2024 Suzuki Jimny range, given the regular three-door variant is priced from $36,490 drive-away (previously $31,990 plus ORCs), while the five-door Jimny XL is now priced at $39,490 drive-away (previously $34,990 plus ORCs).
In announcing the new pricing strategy, Suzuki Australia managing director Michael Pachota said it will be “easier than ever” for Aussies to obtain a new Jimny as the Japanese small-car brand continues to fight for freer supplies.
“We are excited to introduce drive-away pricing for Jimny, making it easier than ever for Australians to experience the thrill and functionality of this iconic vehicle, understanding in absolute transparency its undeniable value,” he said.
“Whilst wait times still apply, we are consistently succeeding in securing greater production in 2024, which means more customers can get behind the wheel of their new Jimny sooner!”
Suzuki has been grappling with supply bottlenecks and overwhelming demand for the latest-generation Jimny since its local release in early 2019, leading to an 11-month sales pause on the most popular three-door automatic versions last year.
With supply now improving and the new five-door XL version now also available, Jimny sales are continuing to strengthen in 2024 with 4710 examples delivered as of June 30 – enough to make it the nation’s second most popular light SUV behind the Mazda CX-3.
