2025 Audi e-tron GT quattro emerges

New base model four-door electric GT goes big on range without sacrificing too much performance

Audi has debuted a new entry-level variant for its stunning facelifted e-tron GT portfolio, one capable of 0-100km/h in four seconds flat and covering up to 622km on a full charge.

Yet to be confirmed for the Australian market though probably a good chance, the 2025 Audi e-tron GT quattro features a 430kW dual-motor powertrain sustained by the same 105kWh battery pack as its stablemates.

The full 430kW can only be accessed when using launch control however; the rest of the time the system outputs a still-healthy 370kW – considerably less than the 500kW (max) S e-tron GT, but Audi claims the base model offers sharper dynamics thanks to a 30kg weight advantage.

320kW DC fast-charging capabilities mean up to 285km of range can be added in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions, while a 10-80 per cent top-up can be completed in 18 minutes.

Headline equipment on the e-tron GT quattro includes 20-inch aero wheels, adaptive air suspension, Matrix LED headlights, a panoramic glass sunroof, heated leather sport seats with eight-way electric adjustment, a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, 10.1-inch infotainment system with sat-nav and phone projection, a 10-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control, keyless go with motion-activated boot opening and an auxiliary heat pump.

Select markets will also have access to an ‘e-tron GT quattro Vorsprung’ which adds S-spec wheels, gloss carbon mirror caps, Audi laser light, a panoramic roof with switchable transparency, all-wheel steering, more aggressive seats with more adjustment, ventilation and massage functions, Nappa leather upholstery, carbon trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, head-up display, Night Vision Assistant and the Assistance Package Plus including remote parking pilot.

It's unclear exactly what equipment will be offered on Australian examples, but our money would be on a healthy mix of both the standard and Vorsprung versions.

The updated e-tron GT portfolio will arrive Down Under in the second half of the year headlined by the wild RS e-tron Performance which whirs out a mighty 680kW and launches from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds.

Full pricing and local spec details will be announced closer to the facelift’s release date.
