2025 Audi e-tron GT quattro price and specifications confirmed

The heavily updated Audi e-tron GT quattro has stepped up in price but brings big power gains, longer EV driving range and more gear

Audi’s updated all-electric e-tron quattro GT has arrived with a hefty power jump, more gear and an aggressive styling rejig the brand hopes will cement its position as an accomplished – and brisk – grand tourer.

The near-twin-under-the-skin to the Porsche Taycan EV also gets a bigger battery pack to extend the range between charges, something that now happens quicker with the ability to top up at up to 320kW using a DC ultra rapid charger.

The three-model e-tron GT line-up – S, RS and RS Performance – kicks off with the new S e-tron GT variant, which is priced from $209,900 plus on-road costs.

That’s a $28,116 increase over the non-S e-tron GT it steps in for at the entry-point to the lineup, but Audi points to the step up in performance, with two electric motors making up to 500kW and 740Nm when using launch control – enough to blast the four-door to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds. Even in regular driving the 435kW and 740Nm on offer permanently is still impressive.

A new front motor (now a permanent magnet motor) drives through a single-speed reduction gear whereas the rear still utilises a two-speed automatic.

That makes the new S model faster than the previous flagship variant, the RS e-tron GT, which produced 475kW/830Nm in Boost mode.

Such a jump reinforces the big gains being made across the EV space, something that also applied to the updated Taycan when it hit Aussie roads in 2024.

Like the Taycan, the updated e-tron GT also gets a new 105-kilowatt-hour battery (97kWh of which is useable) that has 12 per cent more capacity but weighs marginally less than the outgoing model (albeit still heavy, at 650kg).

Fast DC charging can be done at up to 320kW, with improved temperature regulation and software upgrades allowing a 10 to 80 per cent charge in as little as 18 minutes.

The claimed range of the S is 558km.

There’s also now more gear, including tri-zone ventilation, heated front seats, powered bootlid, adjustable height-adaptive air suspension, head-up display, matrix LED headlights, panoramic sunroof and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

That’s only the start of a rich list of standard gear for the S e-tron GT, which also picks up 20-inch wheels, four-wheel steering, 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, ambient lighting, a customisable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch central infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

If you want more, then the RS e-tron GT steps outputs up to 630kW and 895Nm, in turn lowering the 0-100km/h time to 2.8 seconds.

It also picks up Boost and RS buttons on the steering wheel, the latter with two programmable drive mode settings on top of the pre-set modes. The Boost button can supply 10-second bursts of additional power.

Plus there are 21-inch alloys, superior carbide brakes (replacing plain steel), adjustable transparency for the sunroof (press a button and it goes opaque; you can even have stripes and patterns), massaging front seats, matte carbon inlays and various trim changes.

The RS is also differentiated visually by not only different wheels but more aggressive bumpers that make for a more sinister appearance.

Bigger, wider tyres and the focus on performance drops the claimed EV range to a still-decent 522km.

The new pinnacle of the e-tron line-up is the RS e-tron GT Performance, priced from $309,900.

It thumps out up to 680kW and 1037Nm, which makes it the most powerful new Audi to ever wear number plates.

The claimed 0-100km/h time is a blistering 2.5 seconds, making it the quickest accelerating road-going Audi ever.

And while it makes a still-impressive 550kW in regular driving, the launch control system and Boost button can temporarily up that to 680kW.

A marginally lower ride height makes the Performance more aerodynamically efficient, in turn increasing the claimed range to 528km.

The Performance also gets active stabiliser bars as part of its active suspension system. It uses four individually controlled hydraulic actuators to minimise body movement and keep the car flat when cornering. It also minimises pitching and diving when accelerating or braking.

Various option packs give owners the chance to customise further.

On the entry S model there’s a $6000 Sensory pack with massaging front seats, heated outboard rear seats and the Dinamica headlining included on RS variants. There’s also a $3800 Design pack with various trim changes and contrasting seat stitching.

The RS e-tron GT has a $6000 Gloss Carbon pack with various carbon fibre elements inside and out.

A $4500 Design pack adds various trim upgrades, including an Alcantara steering wheel, red or grey seatbelts and more Nappa leather.

The RS Performance has the option of a distinctive $10,000 Matt Carbon Camouflage exterior styling pack.

There’s also a $4500 Design pack with green seatbelts, Alcantara steering wheel, and suede-like Dinamica on the doors and centre console.

More potent carbon ceramic brakes are a $13,000 option on the two RS variants.
