After less than 18 months on the Australian market, Chery has already given its Tiggo 7 Pro medium SUV a “mid-cycle refresh” that shaves $7000 off the starting price.
Now only comprising the SE and SE+ variants, the revitalised 2025 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro line-up opens from $29,990 drive-away and tops out at $33,990 instead of the previous $36,990 and $45,990 bookends.
Anyone expecting to see an overtly different design will be disappointed to find the refresh really only applies to the alloy wheel design and some amended equipment levels to reflect the revised pricing.
Headline gear on the SE for instance includes dual 12.3-inch instrument and multimedia screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice command, 18-inch alloy wheels, sat-nav and an eight-speaker Sony sound system, but it misses out on the preceding Urban’s heated seats, power-adjustable passenger seat, panoramic roof and ambient lighting.
The SE+ meantime adds a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, heated front seats and an air quality management system.
At this point in time there’s no sign of a ‘special edition’ replacement for the flagship Ultimate, meaning there’s currently no all-wheel drive Tiggo 7 Pro beyond the residual 2024 stock still gracing some dealerships.
The connotations of the SE and SE+ (special edition) nameplates suggest neither of these variants will be around permanently and therefore neither will the sub-$30k starting price.
What will stay around however is the familiar 1.6-litre turbo-petrol powertrain that outputs 137kW/275Nm and drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
How much does the 2025 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro cost?
SE – $29,990
SE+ – $33,990
