2025 Mazda3: Full Australian details of upgraded small hatch

Mazda3 gets connected services, enhanced safety and improved tech as part of an MY25 update

The 2024 Mazda3 has been updated for the 2025 model year through the addition of connected services, some new tech and additional safety features, however the extra toys will cost you an extra $720-$2320 depending on the variant.

As part of updates to the now near-four-year-old fourth-generation (BP) Mazda3, Mazda has finally added its connected services package to its popular small car which allows owners to locate their car, implement geofencing parameters, send curfew notifications, remote lock and unlock their car, carry out vehicle health and status reports and track it if stolen.

In the event of an accident there’s now also a new SOS button on the roof panel that automatically dials for the emergency services if it thinks you've been incapacitated following a nasty shunt.

The previously optional Vision Pack – 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch infotainment system, adaptive cruise control, driver attention monitoring, front cross-traffic alert – has been made standard on all grades from the Touring up, while wireless smartphone mirroring and charging is now offered in all variants from the Evolve up.

The entry-level Pure trim misses out on most of these key upgrades save for the connected services and range-wide adoption of USB-C ports, however it doesn’t miss out on the optional new Zircon Sand Metallic paint finish.

No changes have been made to the Mazda3’s mechanical composition, and the brand says that while prices have increased, they’re offset by the additional features – a full breakdown can be found below.
