The Toyota GR Yaris has been updated yet again, with all variants scoring a redesigned steering wheel and retuned power steering to match, while the GTS grade nabs stickier Bridgestone Potenza Race tyres as standard.

Starting with the steering, the wheel itself is 5mm narrower than before and has been redesigned to better fit in the driver’s palms. The buttons have also been arranged in a more motorsport-inspired fashion.
The new control acts as the interface between the driver and an electric power steering system that has an “expanded operating range” – how much difference it makes remains to be seen.
As for the GTS’ tyre upgrade, the new Bridgestone rubber replaces the longstanding Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, whereas the GT continues running lesser Dunlop Sport Maxx hoops.

No other changes have been made to the lauded all-paw hot hatch which was facelifted Down Under only last year.
A new flagship grade; GTS Aero Performance Package, was added to the range in December.
