Two new limited edition models of the Holden Rodeo have been released to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of GM-Holden in Australia.
The Rodeo 60th Anniversary Special Edition models have arrived just months ahead of the nameplate's termination. As we reported here, Holden will not be permitted to continue using the Rodeo name, which is owned by Isuzu -- no longer part of the GM empire.
In the meantime, Holden obviously plans to make hay while the sun shines and has announced that the two anniversary editions (based on Rodeo LT and LX 4x4), will provide extra features worth $3000 over the value of the standard vehicles.
The two models share a chrome sports bar, side steps and Bluetooth connectivity, with the Rodeo LT Anniversary Edition also gaining reverse parking sensors and the Rodeo LX 4x4 Anniversary Edition acquiring a towbar package.
"The Rodeo continues to prove itself as a tough workhorse with up to 3,000kg towing capacity," says Therese Basile, Marketing Manager for GM-Holden.
"With the addition of a number of exterior and safety features including rear park sensors on the LT model, the Rodeo 60th Anniversary Special Editions are equipped with more than enough features to deal with the demands of their owners."
