Fresh teaser images of the upcoming 2022 Mercedes-Benz Vision AMG Concept have been revealed, with the latest Instagram uploads showing off its curvaceous body.
Potentially previewing an indirect all-electric replacement for the much-delayed Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar, the new close-up shots of the concept show off its rear shoulders, A-pillar, rakish front screen, diminutive rear-view camera and striking Silver Arrow livery.
Earlier teasers have also shown off the Vision AMG's teardrop shape and unusual snub-nose front-end that all suggest an advanced range-boosting aero package.
No other information has been released with the Vision AMG teasers so far, but it's hotly tipped that the all-electric concept will be based on AMG's dedicated EA architecture.
Developed for high-performance supercars and hypercars, the EA platform is stiff, rigid and lightweight, and could package a development of the radical ultra-high-performance axial-flux electric motors that have already been previewed by the Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG.
If so, the AMG Vision could come with four electric motors that enhance acceleration while maximising top speed.
The Vision AMG is expected to come with a reduced range of 300-400km, using batteries that can both discharge power quickly while being capable of charging with ultra-fast chargers.
More teasers are expected in the build-up to the Vision AMG's debut.
