The owner of Australia’s only $2.8 million Aston Martin One-77 – dubbed ‘Gotham One-77’ and one of just 77 produced globally – is offering a passenger ride around Bathurst’s famed Mount Panorama circuit this weekend.
Only catch is you’ll need to be the highest bidder in an online Ebay auction that ends at around 6:30pm AEST tonight. At the time of writing, 27 bids had been received and the asking price had topped $1425.
The winning bidder will receive a passenger ride in the super-exclusive British hypercar during the parade lap for this weekend’s Bathurst 12-Hour production car endure.
They will need to make their own way to the event for the parade lap at about 1:00pm this Saturday (February 9), but will receive free entry and a corporate hospitality package.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Boys Town and Kids Helpline to assist them with the crucial role they play to assist young people in their time of need.
“The Aston is an incredible car, with a 750hp V12, carbon-fibre chassis and an engine sound that has to be heard to be believed!” said the car’s owner – a passionate motorsport and automotive enthusiast who is excited about the opportunity to use the rare vehicle to help others, but wishes to remain anonymous.
In the event of wet weather, the highest bidder will be flown from their nearest capital city to Brisbane, where they will be taken out for a 30-minute drive in the rare Aston, which made its Australian public debut at the Sydney motor show in October.
