Mercedes-Benz is offering added features to the current-model C180 Kompressor at no extra cost.
A limited number of Super Sport Edition models will be available with the upgrade comfort and sports package, valued at $7780, for the same price as the C 180K Classic with Sports package offered for $58,990.
The Super Sport Edition gets features above the Sports package, recently offered as standard for the C180 K, and as reviewed by CarPoint in its latest long-term test (see here).
The Super Sport kit includes new 17-inch alloy wheels and AMG body styling and adds an electric sunroof, Bi-Xenon headlamps with dynamic range adjustment and headlamp cleaning system, silver and chrome trim grille, aluminium-finish interior trim, metallic paint, silver instrument dials with white instrument lighting and 'Sport Edition' badging.
Features of the Sports package and standards for the Super Sports Edition include 'Artico' upholstery, larger perforated front discs and silver brake calipers with logo, stainless steel exhaust pipe, leather-trimmed gear shift lever with aluminium finish shift knob, multifunction steering wheel, sports pedals, front sports seats and lowered sport suspension.
If all that's not motivation enough, Mercedes says to visit dealers "sooner rather than later in order to avoid disappointment".
"This is a very special offer," said Horst von Sanden, managing director for the Mercedes Car Group in Australia.
"Customers will find the combination of enormous value and additional features on the C 180 Kompressor Super Sport Edition compelling, especially given the model's unique blend of prestige and sports enhancement."
