BMW releases open-top prices
BMW has announced pricing for the upcoming 3 Series convertibleThe new BMW 3 Series Convertible will be priced starting from $94,900 for the 325i with six-speed manual. The automatic 325i Convertible will start from $97,500.
The twin-turbo 335i Convertible will be available with either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, for $121,500 and $124,100 respectively. By comparison to the 335i Coupe, priced at $108,500, sunlovers are expected to pay a hefty premium for the open-top.
Not only does the fourth-generation convertible get the first folding hard-top roof for a BMW model, it also gets the company's much-booted 'Hofmeister kick' design: the first open-top Beemer with this apparent flair.
BMW says the roof takes 22 seconds to close and 21 seconds to open; the quickest time of any of its type in the segment. That is, the luxury, small-medium passenger convertible with three-piece-folding-roof segment...
As you'd presume for the price, the 3 Series convertibles come with a good range of standard equipment. The 325i Convertible features leather trim with BMW's 'SunReflective technology', Bi-Xenon headlamps, 17-inch wheels, the 'Business' navigation system, rear park distance control, automatic climate control, and Bluetooth mobile phone preparation. The 335i gets larger front and rear brakes, front sports seats, 18-inch wheels, front and rear park distance control and 'Professional' navigation system among its list of standard-fit bits.
The new 3 Series convertibles will be on display at next month's Brisbane International Motor Show, ahead of release in dealer showrooms in March.
