Deal hunter: Big savings on Peugeot 3008 GT Sport PHEV

Plus special offers on RAM 1500 Big Horn pick-up and GWM Ora GT EV

Whether you’re in the market for a premium French mid-size SUV with plug-in hybrid power, a full-size American pick-up or a funky Chinese electric hatch, carsales has you covered.

In this week’s instalment of Deal Hunter, you can save at least $13,000 on a new Peugeot 3008 GT PHEV, dodge all statutory on-road costs on a new RAM 1500 Big Horn or take advantage of a $5000-plus price cut on the GWM Ora GT.

Kicking off with the Peugeot 3008 – which competes in Australia’s dominant mid-size segment and will replaced by the all-new, all-electric Peugeot E-3008 later this year – the 2023-plated MY23 Peugeot 3008 GT Sport AWD flagship normally costs $82,915 plus on-road costs but can now be had for $69,990 drive-away.

That marks an instant saving of $12,925 plus the statutory on-road costs in your particular state or territory.

Similarly attractive deals are being offered across the 3008 range, including all entry-level Allure 2WD variants from $48,990 drive-away (normally $50,075 plus ORCs) and MY23 GTs from $54,990 drive-away (normally $57,400 plus ORCs).

In the passenger car segment this week, the range-topping 2024 GWM Ora GT electric hatch is now available for $46,990 drive-away, representing a saving of $5000 from its previous price of $51,990 plus on-road costs.

Although it’s listed as a special offer, as we reported yesterday the entire GWM Ora range is now being offered with permanent national drive-away pricing, including the entry-level version for just $35,990 drive-away, cementing its title of Australia’s cheapest EV.

Finally this week in commercial vehicle land, RAM Trucks Australia has extended its offer on the 2024 RAM 1500 Big Horn, which remains available for $119,950 drive-away (instead of $119,950 plus ORCs).

That makes for a big $10,000-plus saving in statutory on-road costs for the full-size short-wheelbase crew-cab auto pick-up, whatever state or territory you live in.

But act quickly if you want a 5.7-litre HEMI V8-powered RAM 1500, because it will soon be replaced by Stellantis’ 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline petrol Hurricane six as part of the facelifted MY25 RAM 1500 line-up.
