
BMW has aired its latest television commercial -- a locally-produced vignette of the history of its top-selling 3 Series.
The TVC, which uses the latest in computer generated imagery, features on-track action and an innovative 360-degree action pan shot of the current 3 Series and previous generations of the car.
The advertisement traces the history of the 3 Series from its genesis as the BMW 2002 in 1968 to the latest E90 sedan. The cars seamlessly morph from one generation to the next.
Filmed at Sydney's Eastern Creek racetrack, BMW drew on the assistance of the BMW Car Club to source the five silver 'star' cars.
The finished TVC also uses computer-manipulated footage shot around Queenstown in New Zealand -- somewhat more picturesque than Western Sydney!
