French car manufacturer Renault will turn up at the Geneva Motor Show next month with an appealing new roadster. The Renault Wind is a two-seater with a power-operated roof, which is hinged at the rear and folds back into the boot, much the way the roof of the Ferrari Superamerica did when the Italian car was released some years ago.
According to Renault's press material for the new car, the Wind is 3.83 metres long and the roof opens in as little as 12 seconds. By virtue of the way the roof folds, the Renault continues to offer the same luggage capacity with the roof down as with the roof raised -- 270 litres.
The Wind will be officially launched in the early hours of March 3, local time. Renault's British PR office has cobbled up a promotional video
for the new car which can be downloaded.
