The Aston Martin Valkyrie is set to be blessed with the soundtrack of an early 1990s Formula 1 car, as evidenced by a new video clip of the British hypercar in testing.
The short video, posted on Twitter by Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer late last week, shows the Valkyrie being driven flat out at the Silverstone race circuit.
Created to spin up to a stratospheric 11,100rpm before the cut-out kicks in, the heroic-banshee-wailing 6.5-litre V12 has been appropriately co-developed with former F1 engine builder Cosworth.
Without any form of forced induction, it makes an astonishing 756kW and with an additional KERS hybrid unit total power peaks at a mighty 865kW along with a muscular 900Nm of torque.

Developed to meet all current emission regulations, the all-new V12 will go on to power 150 road-going Valkyries, plus another 25 track-only AMR Pro versions.
A small number will also be produced to power the Valkyrie racers competing at Le Mans.
Claimed by its creators to be the greatest V12 ever built, the 6.5-litre engine weighs in at just 206kg and, like a real F1 engine, is a structural member of the car with the engine block linking the front and rear of the car, but is designed to have a 100,000km lifespan based on routine maintenance.
Instead of a dual-clutch transmission the Aston Martin channels all its might to the rear wheels via a single-clutch automated manual that, within its casing, contains the electric motor that harvest energy under braking.
No performance figures have been released but using an advanced launch control system a sub-2.5-second sprint to 100km/h is rumoured – although overshadowing its acceleration figures will no doubt be the Valkyrie's performance on track.
Around its home Silverstone circuit, thanks to advanced aero generating up to 1816kg of downforce, Aston says it latest hypercar will lap as fast as an F1 car.
Aston Martin is expected to begin officially teasing the Valkyrie production car ahead of its launch potentially as soon as the 2020 Geneva motor show in March.
