The 2026 Honda Super EV Concept has been previewed ahead of its official launch at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 13.
Built to replace the current Honda E hatch that was never sold in Australia, the new battery-powered SUV is said to be both affordable and “fun to drive” and has been created for global markets.
Set to be showcased at Goodwood alongside the more radical-looking 0 Series SUV concept, plus the EV Fun motorcycle and EV Urban scooter concepts, Honda has not released any technical details of its new entry EV.
Looking like a spiritual successor to the Nissan Cube, the pint-sized EV gets round headlamps and a charging port positioned within the front grille.
Featuring a short bonnet, wide fenders and an upright windscreen, it’s thought the new SUV will be positioned as a rival for the BYD Dolphin that sells in Australia priced from $29,990 (plus on-road costs).
There’s no word on whether we’ll see the new affordable EV tackle Goodwood’s famous hill climb, but the brand does promise its latest EV is both “small and sporty”.
Previously, Honda had already announced that the 0 Series family will begin with both a sedan and an SUV and will then quickly expand to seven models by 2030 – it’s unclear if the Super EV is included in that number.
Stay tuned as more details of the Honda Super EV Concept will be revealed following its Goodwood debut on July 13.
