Will the Lamborghini Urus drive as fast as it looks?
The Italian marque’s ground-breaking SUV will have its work cut out on the road going off the edgy aesthetics revealed in its latest video teaser (below).
For the first time the vehicle’s thin tail light strip has been shown. It’s an unmistakably sporty design, one that channels elements of the Asterion, Lamborghini’s shelved hybrid sports car, along with styling traits commensurate with the firm’s current production range.
Lamborghini hopes the Urus will reset performance SUV benchmarks when it is formally unveiled next week.
It has already released a video spruiking the Urus’ dynamic properties and talked up its 48V-powered active anti-roll suspension.
The Urus range will feature a twin-turbo V8 petrol powertrain along with the brand’s first plug-in hybrid application.
Lamborghini is also keen to emphasise the hi-po SUV can be driven off-road, thanks to a six-mode traction control system featuring Sabbia (sand), Terra (dirt) and Neve (snow) settings.
Lamborghini's drawn-out teaser campaign will soon - thankfully - come to an end. The Urus is due to revealed in full on December 4.
